What is AVADO?
AVADO is plug-and-play hardware for running blockchain nodes at home. Each box comes with the AVADO operating system and a web interface, the Admin UI, where you install nodes and validators from the DappStore without using the command line. You own the hardware and your validator keys stay on it, so no exchange or staking provider holds your stake.

Validator keys live on your AVADO, not with an exchange or a staking provider. Your stake can’t be frozen by someone else’s platform.

The AVADO team packages client releases and network upgrades. Your box checks for them every hour and shows them in the Admin UI.
Who AVADO is for
If you’d rather not run hardware at all, a pooled staking service is simpler. AVADO is for people who want to run the node themselves.

Monitoring
Install Grafana from the DappStore to see CPU, memory, disk and network use, with dashboards for Teku, Nimbus and Prysm. It runs on your AVADO and sends nothing out.

What is AVADO?
AVADO is plug-and-play hardware for running blockchain nodes at home. Each box comes with the AVADO operating system and a web interface, the Admin UI, where you install nodes and validators from the DappStore without using the command line. You own the hardware and your validator keys stay on it, so no exchange or staking provider holds your stake.
Do I need technical knowledge?
You don’t need the command line. You connect the box to power and your router, open the Admin UI in a browser and install what you want to run from the DappStore. The documentation walks you through setup, and the Discord community helps when you get stuck.
How much ETH do I need to stake?
32 ETH for a solo validator. With Rocket Pool you can run a node with less of your own ETH; the pool adds the rest. Bond sizes are set by Rocket Pool, so check their documentation for the current numbers.
Who holds my keys?
You do. Validator keys are stored on your AVADO, not with an exchange or staking provider. Keep an offline backup of your mnemonic: nobody, including AVADO, can recover it for you.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. You buy the hardware once. Priority Support is optional and costs €12 a month or €100 a year.
How do updates work?
Your AVADO checks AVADO’s update service every hour and shows new package versions, such as client releases for network upgrades, in the Admin UI.
