Each box comes with the AVADO operating system and a web interface, the Admin UI, where you install nodes and validators from the DappStore without using the command line. You own the hardware and your validator keys stay on it, so no exchange or staking provider holds your stake. ### Do I need technical knowledge? No command-line knowledge is needed. You connect the box to your router and power, join its Wi-Fi network once to open the AVADO Admin in a browser, and install what you want to run from the DappStore. A Staking setup page in the Admin guides you through the steps. The [documentation](https://docs.ava.do) walks you through setup, and the [Discord community](https://discord.gg/RpMaFjTjyw) helps when you get stuck. ### How much ETH do I need to stake? The minimum for a solo validator is 32 ETH. Since the [Pectra upgrade](https://ethereum.org/en/roadmap/pectra/) in May 2025, one validator can hold up to 2,048 ETH, so with more ETH you don’t have to run many separate validators (see [how Pectra changed staking](/blog/how-ethereums-pectra-upgrade-improves-staking/)). Rocket Pool lets node operators stake with a smaller bond, but the AVADO Rocket Pool package hasn’t been updated for Rocket Pool’s new megapools yet, so contact support@ava.do before starting a new Rocket Pool setup. ### Who holds my keys? Validator keys are stored on your AVADO, so you hold them, not an exchange or staking provider. Keep an offline backup of your mnemonic: nobody, including AVADO, can recover it for you. ### Is there a monthly fee? AVADO is a one-off purchase with no monthly fee: you buy the hardware once. [Priority Care](/priority-care/) is optional and costs €12 a month or €120 a year. ### How do updates work? Updates are installed automatically. Every app has an Auto-update switch in the Admin UI, on by default, and AVADO’s own system software updates the same way. The AVADO team packages client releases for network upgrades, and the Admin UI tells you when an update is waiting or when auto-update is off for one of your apps. ### Where can I buy an AVADO? AVADO boxes are sold in the [AVADO shop](/shop/) on this website and paid securely with Stripe. We ship worldwide from Europe; see [shipping and delivery](/shipping-and-delivery/). ## About URL: https://www.ava.do/about/ AVADO was founded in December 2018. In 2025, Informacijske storitve Žiga Flis s.p., a Slovenian sole proprietorship, took over AVADO. It runs AVADO today: the hardware, the software updates, the shop and support. Validator keys stay on the owner’s AVADO, not with AVADO. ## Ethereum staking URL: https://www.ava.do/ethereum-staking/ What you need: 32 ETH to activate a validator for solo staking; a computer running around the clock with at least a quad-core CPU, 32 GB of RAM and a 4 TB SSD; at least 10 Mbps up and down with no data cap (EthStaker minimums). Every AVADO currently in the shop meets these minimums. Details: https://www.ava.do/blog/ethereum-staking-hardware-requirements/ 1. Connect the box to your router and power; it starts by itself. 2. Join the AVADO Wi-Fi network and open http://ava.do/start; afterwards the Admin is at http://my.ava.do. 3. On the Staking setup page in the Admin, install an execution client (Geth or Nethermind) and a consensus client (Teku, Nimbus or Prysm) from the DappStore. 4. Let the node sync. 5. Create or import validator keys and deposit 32 ETH through the official staking launchpad. 6. Keep it running; the AVADO team packages client releases and network upgrades, and with auto-update on (the default) the box installs them automatically. Solo staking: 32 ETH to activate a validator (up to 2,048 ETH per validator since Pectra, May 2025), all rewards go to you, keys on your AVADO. This is the staking option for new AVADO setups. Execution clients: Geth or Nethermind. Consensus clients: Teku, Nimbus or Prysm. MEV-Boost is optional and available in the DappStore. Rocket Pool: existing Rocket Pool node operators' minipools keep working on AVADO. Rocket Pool moved to megapools with a 4 ETH bond per validator in its Saturn 1 upgrade on 18 February 2026 (https://saturn.rocketpool.net/). The AVADO Rocket Pool package is being updated for megapools, so contact support@ava.do before starting a new Rocket Pool setup. Status: https://docs.ava.do/staking-ethereum/eth-staking-overview ### Can I stake with less than 32 ETH? Staking with less than 32 ETH is not possible on a new AVADO setup for now. Rocket Pool lets node operators run a validator with a smaller bond; since its [Saturn 1 upgrade](https://saturn.rocketpool.net/) on 18 February 2026 the minimum is 4 ETH per validator, in “megapools”. Existing Rocket Pool minipools keep working on AVADO, but the AVADO Rocket Pool package is still being updated for megapools. Contact support@ava.do before starting a new Rocket Pool setup, and see the [AVADO documentation](https://docs.ava.do/staking-ethereum/eth-staking-overview) for the current status. ### Which Ethereum clients can I run? The execution clients on AVADO are Geth and Nethermind, and the consensus clients are Teku, Nimbus and Prysm. All are in the DappStore. Picking a less common client helps Ethereum’s client diversity. ### Does AVADO support MEV-Boost? MEV-Boost is supported as an optional package in the DappStore: install it and turn it on in your consensus client’s settings. MEV rewards are execution layer rewards and go to your fee recipient address. The [MEV-Boost guide](https://docs.ava.do/staking-ethereum/solo-staking-32-eth/set-up-mev-boost) covers relays and settings. ### What happens if my internet or power goes down? Being offline is not a slashing offence: your validator misses its duties while offline and loses roughly what it would have earned in that time. Slashing only happens when a validator signs conflicting messages, for example when the same keys run on two machines. ### Can I move existing validator keys to my AVADO? Existing validator keys are moved by importing their keystores. Stop the old validator first and make sure it can’t start again: running the same keys in two places at once gets you slashed. ### Are rewards guaranteed? Rewards are not guaranteed: they depend on the Ethereum protocol, network conditions and your validator being online. AVADO provides hardware and software; it doesn’t pay or guarantee rewards. ## Priority Care URL: https://www.ava.do/priority-care/ Priority Care (formerly Priority Support) is a subscription linked to one AVADO by its node ID. Price: €12 per month or €120 per year (saves €24 compared with monthly). No VAT is added because the seller is not VAT registered. The first 14 days are free for first-time subscribers, once per box; the subscription is charged when the trial ends unless it is cancelled before. Included: - Priority email support: Priority email support means your emails to support@ava.do go to the front of the queue, with a reply within 24 hours on business days. - Private support channel: A private support channel is where you talk directly with the AVADO team. - Personal 1-on-1 sessions: A 1-on-1 session is time to go through your setup together with someone from the team. - Offline alerts: Offline alerts are emails: one when your AVADO has been offline for an hour, and another when it’s back online. - Alerts about serious problems: Serious problem alerts are emails about critical problems that your AVADO finds when it checks itself every 10 minutes: a stopped app, a disk that is full or nearly full, a missing fee recipient, an update that can’t install or a consensus client that has fallen behind. You get one email per problem, bundled together, and you can switch off each type. - Known bad version warnings: Version warnings are sent when a version of an app you run has a known problem, or when a network upgrade deadline is close. - Monthly health report: The monthly health report is a short summary of how your AVADO did, in plain language, sent on the 1st of every month. - Fast help when your box is down: Fast help means a reply within 8 business hours when your AVADO is down. - Check-ups and a guided move: Check-ups are included twice a year, with one guided move to new hardware a year. - 10% off hardware: The discount is 10% off AVADO hardware while your subscription is active. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 Central European Time, except Slovenian public holidays. To book a check-up or a guided move, or to get the hardware discount, email support@ava.do with the Node ID. Alerts need the free AVADO Care app. It sends a check-in every 10 minutes with the node ID, installed app names and versions, disk usage, the overall health result and short problem titles. It never sends wallet, keys, IP addresses, peers or validator data. Free for everyone: the health checks and fix buttons in the Admin UI, security and network upgrade updates, and basic support. How to start: open the Admin UI on your AVADO, go to Priority, choose monthly or yearly and start the free trial, then enter payment details at Stripe. Then select "Turn on alerts" to install the AVADO Care app, enter an email address and confirm it from the email. Manage or cancel: on the Priority page select "Manage billing" to open the Stripe customer portal. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing; after that it stops the next renewal and the service continues until the end of the paid period. The Priority page then shows the date it ends, and you can resume it any time before then. Priority Care is best effort and doesn't guarantee staking rewards, uptime or that every problem is caught. ### What is Priority Care? Priority Care is a subscription for one AVADO. You get priority email support, a private support channel and 1-on-1 sessions with the AVADO team, and AVADO keeps an eye on your box and emails you when something needs your attention. It used to be called Priority Support; existing subscriptions carry on as Priority Care at the same price, with the new alerts added. ### How does the free trial work? The free trial is the first 14 days of Priority Care, for an AVADO that has never had a subscription. You pick monthly or yearly when you start. You are only charged when the trial ends, and if you cancel before then, you pay nothing. Each box can have one free trial. ### How do I turn on the alerts? Alerts are turned on from the Priority page in the Admin UI: select Turn on alerts. This opens the free AVADO Care app in the AVADO store; select Install and it is installed with one click. Go back to Priority, enter your email address under “Where should we send alerts?” and click the link in the confirmation email we send you. Alerts start once your email is confirmed. ### What does my AVADO need for Priority Care? The requirements for Priority Care are the latest AVADO system update (DAPPMANAGER 10.0.48) and Admin 10.0.57. Both arrive on your AVADO automatically. If the Priority page says “Your AVADO needs a system update”, open System in your Admin and install the available update (or wait for it to install automatically), then try again. ### What does the AVADO Care app send to AVADO? The AVADO Care app’s check-in is a short message sent every 10 minutes: your box’s node ID, the names and versions of the installed apps, how full the disk is, the overall health result and short titles of any problems found. It never sends your wallet, keys, IP addresses, peers or validator data. See the [privacy policy](/privacy-policy/#priority-care-monitoring) for how long we keep it. ### Can I choose which alerts I get? Each alert type is optional: on the Priority page you can switch off offline and back-online alerts, serious problems, update warnings about known bad versions, and the monthly report. To stop monitoring completely, remove the AVADO Care app or cancel your subscription. ### Does one subscription cover several boxes? Each subscription is linked to one AVADO by its node ID, so it covers only that box. If you have more than one box, subscribe on each box you want covered. ### Can I subscribe on the website? Subscribing is done from the Admin UI on the AVADO you want covered, not on the website, so the subscription is linked to the right box. ### How do I cancel? Cancelling is done in the Stripe customer portal: open Priority in the Admin UI and select Manage billing. During the free trial, cancelling means you are never charged. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal and Priority Care continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for. The Priority page then shows the date it ends, and you can resume it any time before then. ### Do I get a refund when I cancel? Refunds are not given for the rest of a period you’ve started, except where the law requires one. Consumers can withdraw within 14 days of subscribing; see the [terms](/terms-and-conditions/#16-priority-care-subscription). ### Is VAT added to the price? VAT is not added: the seller is not VAT registered, so €12 a month or €120 a year is what you pay. ### Is anything free without a subscription? Several things are free for every AVADO owner, with or without a subscription: the health checks and fix buttons in the Admin UI, security and network upgrade updates, the [documentation](https://docs.ava.do), the [Discord community](https://discord.gg/RpMaFjTjyw) and email support at support@ava.do. ### Does Priority Care guarantee rewards or uptime? Priority Care is best-effort help, not a guarantee. It helps you notice and fix problems sooner, but it doesn’t guarantee staking rewards, that your node stays online or that every problem is caught. ## Monitoring URL: https://www.ava.do/monitoring/ AVADO Monitoring is the Grafana package in the DappStore. Installing it also installs Prometheus and Node exporter. It shows dashboards for the box (CPU, memory, disk, network) and for the Teku, Nimbus and Prysm consensus clients. It runs locally on the AVADO and no data leaves the box. With it installed, the Admin Home page also warns when the consensus client falls behind, has too few peers or misses attestations. Open it from My DApps or at http://grafana.my.ava.do:3000. ### Is any monitoring data sent to AVADO? Monitoring data is not sent to AVADO: Grafana, Prometheus and Node exporter run on your AVADO and the metrics stay there. Only if you subscribe to [Priority Care](/priority-care/) and install the AVADO Care app does your box send a short health check-in to AVADO. ### Which clients have dashboards? The clients with dashboards are Teku, Nimbus and Prysm. Whatever you run, you also get dashboards for the box itself: CPU, memory, disk and network. ### How do I open it? Grafana is opened from My DApps in the Admin UI: click Open next to Grafana server, or go to http://grafana.my.ava.do:3000. The dashboards are in the AVADO folder. ### Can I get alerts when something goes wrong? Grafana shows what happens on your AVADO while you look at it; it doesn’t send alerts. With [Priority Care](/priority-care/), AVADO emails you when your box has been offline for an hour and when it’s back, and when the box’s own health checks find a serious problem, such as a stopped app, a full disk or a consensus client that has fallen behind. The first 14 days are free. For alerts about your validators as the network sees them, you can also use an online explorer such as beaconcha.in. ## Support URL: https://www.ava.do/support/ - Documentation: https://docs.ava.do - Discord community: https://discord.gg/RpMaFjTjyw - Email support: support@ava.do (boxes, orders, invoices, returns, warranty) - Priority Care: https://www.ava.do/priority-care/ ## Shipping and delivery URL: https://www.ava.do/shipping-and-delivery/ Last updated: 2026-09-26 ### Ordering and payment You order your AVADO in our [shop](/shop/) and pay securely on Stripe Checkout. The payment methods available for your order, such as cards, are shown at checkout. Stripe emails you a receipt and an invoice once you have paid. ### No VAT is charged The seller, Informacijske storitve Žiga Flis s.p., is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to your order. The price at checkout is the price you pay for the goods, plus shipping. If you live outside the EU, your country may charge import VAT or duties when the package arrives. The carrier or customs office collects these from you; the amount depends on your country’s rules. ### Shipping We ship AVADO boxes worldwide from Europe. Shipping is a flat rate per order, chosen in the cart: | Ship to | Shipping | | --- | --- | | European Union | €30 | | United Kingdom | €50 | | United States | €80 | | Australia | €80 | | Rest of the world | €80 | Once your box ships, you get a tracking link by email. If support asks you to send a device back, the [delivery and return page of our documentation](https://docs.ava.do/quick-help/delivery-and-return) has the return form and address. Each box is built and set up with the AVADO software before it ships. Orders are collected throughout the month, so expect your AVADO to arrive about 4 weeks after you order. ### Invoices Stripe emails you an invoice after you pay. To have your company on it, enter the company name and VAT number at checkout. If you need a change afterwards, email [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do) with your order number and the company name, address and VAT number that should appear on the invoice. ### Questions about your order Email [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do) with your order number. When you visit a page, Vercel’s servers process your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser’s user agent and the referring page. We use this to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix errors. - **Legal basis:** our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). - **Retention:** Vercel keeps these logs for a limited time, no longer than 30 days. #### Analytics and advertising measurement (only with your consent) If you select **Accept** in the cookie banner, we load: - **Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4** (Google Ireland Ltd.), which record the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, your approximate location and identifiers stored in cookies. - **The X (Twitter) pixel** (Twitter International Unlimited Company), which lets us measure whether our ads on X lead to visits. Nothing is loaded if you select **Reject** or make no choice. You can change your choice at any time under **Cookie settings** in the footer of every page. - **Legal basis:** your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Slovenian Electronic Communications Act, ZEKom-2). Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect processing that took place before. - **Retention:** Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. X keeps data according to its own policies. #### Your cookie choice We store your choice (accept or reject) in your browser’s local storage under the name `avado-consent`, so the banner doesn’t appear on every page. It stays on your device until you clear your browser data, and we don’t receive it. - **Legal basis:** this storage is strictly necessary to respect your choice (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). #### Newsletter If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address, the time you subscribed, your IP address at sign-up and whether you open or click our emails are processed by Klaviyo, Inc., which sends the newsletter for us. - **Legal basis:** your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). - **Retention:** until you unsubscribe, using the link in every email or by writing to us. After that we keep a record that you unsubscribed, so we don’t email you again. ### Shop orders Our [shop](/shop/) is part of this website. Your cart is kept in your browser’s local storage until you check out; it contains only the products and options you chose. You pay on Stripe Checkout (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.). When you order, we process your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number, any tax ID you enter, order details and payment status. You enter your payment details at Stripe and they stay with Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Stripe acts as our processor for payments, and as an independent controller for its own legal obligations, such as fraud prevention and anti-money-laundering checks. When an order is paid, we receive an order notification email sent through Resend, Inc. We use the same Stripe account for other businesses operated by Informacijske storitve Žiga Flis s.p. Shop payments are kept separate by product, and data from one business isn’t used for another. Orders placed in our former shop at shop.ava.do were processed by Shopify International Ltd., whose privacy policy applies to those orders. We share your delivery details with the carrier and, for shipments outside the EU, with customs. - **Purpose:** to process your order, deliver it, handle returns and warranty claims, and keep accounting records. - **Legal basis:** performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligations under accounting and tax law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). - **Retention:** order records and invoices are kept for 10 years, as required by accounting law. ### Email support When you email [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do), we process your email address, name, the content of your messages and anything you send us, such as screenshots, logs, your device model or order number. - **Purpose:** to answer your question and resolve your problem. - **Legal basis:** performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) where you’re a customer, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). - **Retention:** 3 years after our last exchange, so we can refer back to earlier problems with your device. ### Priority Care Priority Care was called Priority Support until 25 September 2026. #### Payment by Stripe Priority Care is paid through Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.). Stripe processes your name, email address, billing address and payment details. You enter your card details at Stripe and they stay with Stripe; we never see or store them. Stripe acts as our processor for payments, and as an independent controller for its own legal obligations, such as fraud prevention and anti-money-laundering checks. We use the same Stripe account for other businesses operated by Informacijske storitve Žiga Flis s.p. Priority Care payments are kept separate by product, and data from one business isn’t used for another. #### The Priority Care service The service that manages subscriptions runs at priorityapi.ava.do on servers in Slovenia. It stores: - your AVADO’s **node ID**, the public identifier of your box, which links the subscription to that box; - your **Stripe customer ID** and **subscription ID**; - your **plan** (monthly or yearly), the subscription **status** and the **start and end dates** of the current period; - an **audit log** of actions, such as status checks and the creation of checkout and billing-portal sessions, including the **IP address** each request came from. If you start a free trial, about 7 days before the first charge we send you one reminder with the date, the price and how to cancel. If you use the AVADO Care app, it also says how many check-ins and alert emails there were during your trial. For it we read the email address you gave at checkout from Stripe, or use your confirmed Priority Care address if there is none. It is sent through **Resend** (Resend, Inc.), which acts as our processor and receives your email address and the content of the email. Our alert log records each attempt to send it, including failed ones, and is kept for 1 year. When you contact us as a Priority Care customer, the section on email support also applies. - **Purpose:** to sell the subscription, check whether a box is covered, remind you before a free trial is charged, provide support, keep accounting records, and detect misuse. - **Legal basis:** performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legal obligations under accounting law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), and, for the audit log, our legitimate interest in securing the service and preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). - **Retention:** the audit log is kept for 12 months. Subscription records are kept while the subscription exists and then for 10 years for accounting. ### Priority Care monitoring Priority Care alerts only work if you install the free **AVADO Care** app on your box and give us an email address. Without the app, your box sends none of the data below. #### What the AVADO Care app sends Every 10 minutes the app sends a short, signed check-in from your box to priorityapi.ava.do. It contains: - your AVADO’s **node ID**; - the **names and versions** of the installed apps; - how full the disk is, as a **percentage**; - the **overall health result** of the box’s own health checks; - short **titles of any problems** found, for example that an app has stopped. It never contains your wallet, private keys, IP addresses, peers or validator data. As with any internet request, our server sees the IP address the check-in comes from, but we don’t store it with this data. #### What we store - the check-ins from your box; - the **email address** you give us for alerts, whether you have confirmed it, and which types of alert you have switched on or off; - the state of each problem, so you get one email per problem and not a new one every 10 minutes; - an **alert log** of which emails were sent for your box, and when. Changes to your email settings are also recorded in the audit log described above, without your IP address. - **Purpose:** to warn you when your box goes offline or has a problem, to warn you about known bad versions and network upgrades that affect your apps, to send the monthly health report, and to help you faster when you contact us. - **Legal basis:** performance of the Priority Care contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). - **Email delivery:** alert and report emails are sent through **Resend** (Resend, Inc.), which acts as our processor. Resend receives your email address and the content of the email. - **Retention:** check-ins are deleted after **90 days**. The alert log is deleted after **1 year**. Your email address is deleted once your subscription has ended and your box has not checked in for **90 days**. If your box stops checking in for 90 days, its latest status and problem list are deleted too. You can stop monitoring at any time by removing the AVADO Care app from your box or by cancelling your subscription. You can switch off each type of alert on the Priority page in the Admin UI. ### Your AVADO device #### Software updates Once an hour, your AVADO contacts our update service at rpc.ava.do. It sends the box’s node ID and the list of installed packages with their versions, and receives information about available updates, which the Admin UI then offers to you. Like any internet request, this also transmits your IP address. Packages are downloaded over IPFS, a peer-to-peer network, so the IPFS nodes that serve the files can see your IP address. Your AVADO also downloads TLS certificates from AVADO so you can open the Admin UI over an encrypted connection. - **Purpose:** to offer software and security updates and keep your device working. - **Legal basis:** performance of the contract for the device you bought (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in keeping devices secure and up to date (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). - **Retention:** request logs of these services are kept for up to 90 days for operation and security. #### Remote Connect If you use Remote Connect to reach your AVADO from outside your home network, the connection is set up through ZeroTier (ZeroTier, Inc.). ZeroTier processes your devices’ IP addresses and network identifiers to establish the connection. This only happens when you use Remote Connect. #### Monitoring AVADO Monitoring (the Grafana package with Prometheus and Node exporter) runs entirely on your AVADO. The metrics stay on your box and are not sent to us or anyone else. The AVADO Care app for Priority Care is separate; see [Priority Care monitoring](#priority-care-monitoring). #### Blockchain data When you run a node or validator, your node talks to other nodes on that network, and your validator’s activity is recorded publicly on the blockchain. This is how blockchains work; we don’t control that data and can’t delete it. ### Who receives your data We only share personal data where needed for the purposes above: - **Vercel Inc.** (website hosting) - **Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC** (Tag Manager and Analytics, only with consent) - **Twitter International Unlimited Company / X Corp.** (X pixel, only with consent) - **Klaviyo, Inc.** (newsletter) - **Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.** (shop and Priority Care payments) - **Resend, Inc.** (order notification emails, Priority Care alert, report and trial-reminder emails) - **Shopify International Ltd.** (orders placed in our former shop at shop.ava.do) - **ZeroTier, Inc.** (Remote Connect, only when you use it) - carriers and customs authorities (delivery) - our email provider (support email) - public authorities, where the law requires it ### Transfers outside the EU Stripe, Vercel, Shopify, Google, Klaviyo, Resend and X may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or, where the recipient is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards. ### Security We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, least-privilege access and backups. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your data, we’ll inform you and the supervisory authority as the law requires. ### Your rights Under the GDPR and ZVOP-2 you have the right to: - **access** the personal data we hold about you; - **correct** inaccurate data; - **erase** your data, where there’s no legal reason for us to keep it; - **restrict** how we process it; - **object** to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time; - **data portability**: receive data you gave us in a machine-readable format; - **withdraw consent** at any time, without affecting earlier processing. To use any of these rights, email [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do). We may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we’ll tell you on the website or by email. ## Terms and conditions URL: https://www.ava.do/terms-and-conditions/ Last updated: 2026-09-26 ### 1. About us and these terms These terms apply to the website www.ava.do, to hardware bought in our [shop](/shop/), and to the Priority Care subscription (section 16). **Seller and service provider** Informacijske storitve Žiga Flis s.p. (“AVADO”, “we”, “us”) Zelena ulica 7, 3240 Šmarje pri Jelšah, Slovenia Email: [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do) These terms apply to consumers and to business customers. Where the law gives consumers stronger rights, those rights apply and these terms don’t limit them. We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order or start a subscription applies to that order or subscription. For changes to a running subscription, see section 16.7. ### 2. Products and information - Product photos are illustrations; the product you receive may look slightly different. - We describe technical specifications carefully. If a description contains an obvious error, we may correct it before we accept your order. ### 3. Prices and VAT - Prices are shown in euros (EUR) and are final prices. - **No VAT is charged**, because the seller is not registered for VAT. - Shipping costs are shown at checkout. - Outside the EU, import VAT, duties and customs fees may be charged by your country when the package arrives. You pay these. ### 4. Ordering and contract formation - You order in our shop at www.ava.do/shop/ and pay on Stripe Checkout. Your order is an offer to buy. - The contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email or ship the goods, whichever comes first. - If a price or availability error is discovered, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. ### 5. Payment - The payment methods available are shown at checkout. - Card and instant payments are charged when you order. Orders paid by bank transfer are processed once the payment has arrived. - The goods remain our property until they are paid in full. ### 6. Availability and delivery times Delivery estimates are indicative. Boxes are built and set up with the AVADO software before shipping; expect about 4 weeks from order to delivery (see [shipping and delivery](/shipping-and-delivery/)). If we can’t deliver within a reasonable time, we’ll tell you, and you may cancel for a full refund. ### 7. Delivery and risk - We ship to the address you give us. - For consumers, the risk of loss or damage passes to you when you receive the goods. For business customers, it passes when we hand the goods to the carrier. - If the parcel is visibly damaged, note it with the carrier and take photos. ### 8. Checking your delivery Please check your delivery when it arrives and report transport damage or missing items to [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do) within 5 days, with photos, keeping the packaging. This helps us claim from the carrier and doesn’t reduce your legal rights. ### 9. Right of withdrawal for goods (consumers) If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a purchase within **14 days** without giving a reason. - **Period:** 14 days from the day you, or someone you name other than the carrier, receive the goods. - **How:** send us a clear statement, for example by email to [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do), with your order number and your decision to withdraw. You may use the model form below, but you don’t have to. - **Returning the goods:** send the goods back within 14 days of telling us, complete and with all accessories. You pay the cost of returning them. - **Refund:** we refund all payments we received from you, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method. We may wait until we’ve received the goods back or you’ve shown that you sent them. - **Condition:** you are responsible for any loss in value caused by handling the goods beyond what’s needed to check their nature, characteristics and functioning. - **Exceptions:** the right of withdrawal doesn’t apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. If an order falls under this exception, we tell you before you order. #### Model withdrawal form > To: Informacijske storitve Žiga Flis s.p., Zelena ulica 7, 3240 Šmarje pri Jelšah, Slovenia, support@ava.do > > I/We (\*) hereby give notice that I/We (\*) withdraw from my/our (\*) contract of sale of the following goods (\*) / for the provision of the following service (\*): > > Ordered on (\*) / received on (\*): > > Name of consumer(s): > > Address of consumer(s): > > Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is sent on paper): > > Date: > > (\*) Delete as appropriate. ### 10. Legal guarantee (consumers) Consumers have a **2-year legal guarantee** for any lack of conformity that exists when the goods are delivered. You can ask for repair or replacement free of charge; if that isn’t possible or proportionate, you can ask for a price reduction or a refund. The guarantee doesn’t cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorised modifications, unsuitable environmental conditions or force majeure. ### 11. Returns and repairs (RMA) Before sending anything back: 1. Email [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do) with your order number, the model and serial number, and a description of the problem, with photos or logs where possible. 2. Follow the return (RMA) instructions we send you. We may refuse returns sent without them. 3. Pack the device securely. Damage caused by poor packaging isn’t covered. Back up your data, including your validator keys and mnemonic, before sending a device in. We’re not responsible for data on returned devices. ### 12. Software The AVADO software and the packages in the DappStore are provided as they are. They include open-source software by third parties, such as blockchain clients. We don’t guarantee that software runs without interruption or errors, and we don’t guarantee staking rewards. This doesn’t affect your legal guarantee for the hardware. You are responsible for your validator keys, mnemonic and funds. Keep an offline backup of your mnemonic; we can’t recover it. ### 13. Liability We are liable as required by mandatory law. To the extent the law allows: - we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost staking rewards, penalties or slashing, or loss of data; - for business customers, our liability per order is limited to the price paid for the affected goods or services. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that can’t be limited by law. ### 14. Intellectual property and use of the website The content of the website, the AVADO name and logo, manuals and our own software belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components are licensed under their own licences. You may not copy or reuse our content or marks without permission, except where the law allows it. Personal data is handled as described in our [privacy policy](/privacy-policy/). ### 15. Export controls and sanctions You confirm that you are not subject to sanctions and that you won’t export or use our products in breach of export control or sanctions laws. ### 16. Priority Care subscription Priority Care was called Priority Support until 25 September 2026. Existing subscriptions continue as Priority Care at the same price, keep all their earlier benefits and get the new ones, and this section applies to them. #### 16.1 What the service is Priority Care is a paid support and monitoring subscription for one AVADO and its owner. It includes: - priority email support at [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do), with a **response target within 24 hours on business days**; - access to a private support channel; - personal 1-on-1 support sessions; - an email when the box has not checked in for **60 minutes**, and another when it is back online; - emails about **critical problems** found by the box’s own health checks, which run every 10 minutes. You get one email per problem, bundled together, and you can switch off each type of alert; - warnings when a version of an app installed on the box has a known problem, or a network upgrade deadline affects it; - a **monthly health report** by email; - a **reply within 8 business hours** when the box is down, if you email [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do); - **two check-ups** of the box a year and **one guided migration** to new hardware a year; - **10% off** AVADO hardware while the subscription is active. You arrange the check-ups, the guided migration and the hardware discount by emailing [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do) with your AVADO’s node ID. **Business hours** are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 Central European Time (CET, or CEST in summer), excluding Slovenian public holidays. Response times count business hours and business days only. The email alerts need the free **AVADO Care** app, which you install on the box from the Priority page in the Admin UI, and a confirmed email address. Alerts depend on the box, its internet connection and email delivery working. The health checks and fix buttons in the Admin UI, security and network upgrade updates, and basic support stay free for every owner, with or without a subscription. We provide Priority Care on a **best-effort** basis. It helps you notice and fix problems sooner; it does **not** guarantee staking rewards, node uptime, that every problem is detected or that every problem can be solved. Problems caused by third-party software, networks or services may be outside our control. #### 16.2 One subscription, one AVADO Each subscription is linked to **one AVADO** by its node ID, the public identifier of the box. It covers that box only. #### 16.3 Price and billing - The price is **€12 per month** or **€120 per year**. No VAT is charged, because the seller is not registered for VAT. - You subscribe from the Admin UI on your AVADO. Payment is processed by Stripe. - Subscriptions are billed **in advance** for each period and **renew automatically** at the end of each period until you cancel. #### 16.4 Free trial - If a box has never had a subscription, the first **14 days** are free. Each box can have one free trial. - You choose monthly or yearly and enter your payment details when the trial starts. You get all Priority Care benefits during the trial. - Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription **turns into a paid subscription automatically** after 14 days, and the first period is charged then. - If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged. #### 16.5 Cancelling You can cancel at any time in the Admin UI under Priority → **Manage billing**, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the service continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. We don’t refund partial periods, except where the law requires it. #### 16.6 Right of withdrawal (consumers) If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from the subscription within **14 days** of subscribing, without giving a reason. If you started with a free trial, cancelling during the trial already ends the subscription at no cost. When you subscribe, you ask us to start the service immediately. If you withdraw after a paid period has started, you pay for the service provided up to the moment you told us you withdraw, in proportion to the full price; we refund the rest. You lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided within the withdrawal period. To withdraw, email [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do) with your AVADO’s node ID or the email address you used at checkout. You can use the model form in section 9. #### 16.7 Fair use and termination Priority Care is for the covered box and its owner. We may suspend or end a subscription, with notice where reasonable, if it is abused: for example, if it is used for boxes that aren’t covered, shared with third parties, or used to harass our staff. If we end a subscription without such a reason, we refund the unused part of the current period. #### 16.8 Price and term changes We announce price changes and material changes to these subscription terms at least **30 days** in advance by email. Changes apply from your next renewal after that notice. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect. #### 16.9 Liability For the Priority Care service, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the subscription in the **12 months** before the event that caused the claim. Section 13 applies as well, including the liability that can’t be limited. ### 17. Force majeure We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, supply shortages, transport disruptions or major internet outages. ### 18. Transfer of rights You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to a successor business, provided your rights are not reduced. ### 19. Complaints and dispute resolution If something goes wrong, email [support@ava.do](mailto:support@ava.do) and we’ll try to resolve it directly. Consumers in the EU can also contact an out-of-court dispute resolution body. The European Commission lists them at [consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu](https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/list-alternative-dispute-resolution-adr-bodies_en). ### 20. Applicable law and courts These terms and all contracts under them are governed by Slovenian law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). - **Consumers** keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where they live and may bring claims in their local courts. - **Business customers:** the courts of Slovenia have exclusive jurisdiction. ## Guides - [Ways to stake ETH compared: solo staking, Rocket Pool, liquid staking and exchanges](https://www.ava.do/blog/ways-to-stake-eth-compared/): A side-by-side comparison of the four ways to stake ETH in 2026 -
